I don’t normally talk politics on this blog. It’s not that sort of website and it’s a major rule to NEVER talk politics at the Bar. Problem is it seems lately that is what the everyday talk is about at the Tiki Bar and the topic of Gun Rights comes up in almost every conversation no matter where you’re from or what side of the political system you stand.

No Matter what side of the political system I stand, I believe in our right to own and carry guns and Cindy and I both have been avid shooters for our entire lives. I do not understand what is going on with our current Government and why ANY and ALL news stations are only talking about guns and the violence caused by them right now. What is the bigger picture? What is really going on behind the scenes that they’re NOT talking about? When you look at the facts, Gun Violence is very minimal in the United States.

If we want to go by the facts, why aren’t we outlawing Cigarettes? Not only are they the #1 killer, but think of all the other complications they cause those who smoke them, and those who have to breathe the second hand smoke. Read that chart a few times and let it sink in.

Here is a very interesting quote I was forwarded by a friend of mine.

Another very interesting chart shows some alarming facts that I’ve yet to hear any of the mainstream media care to touch on.

A website I found and thought was very interesting was the D.C. Clothesline. Dean Garrison is a contemporary American author and crime fiction novelist who runs that website. He was born in Michigan , grew up in the Indiana , Illinois , and Texas , and received his B.A. degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Garrison is a Crime Scene Technician in West Michigan. His research in the fields of crime scene investigation and Shooting Reconstruction are widely published in forensic journals under the name “D.H. Garrison, Jr.”
